For organisations using, moving or planning to move their email and calendaring services to Google Apps Calendars, QED has announced the forthcoming availability of Meeting Room and Resource Screens for Google.

This option provides the ability to display and control Google Calendar resource reservations on interactive room or multi-room kiosks using all the standard features of Meeting Monitor.

Calendar users create meetings as normal in their Google Calendar account, invite attendees, select a Room Resource and other optional resources. The Meeting Monitor touch screens display the live room schedules in real-time including attendees and provide options to check-in, extend, check-out as well as make instant on-demand bookings for now or later that day.

This is a simple and cost effective solution for real-time on-demand room and resource management for organisations that are currently using or planning to migrate to a Google cloud environment and do not require the complexity of a full room and resource management system.

For organisations already using Google Apps based resource scheduling tools such ScheduleOnce^TM Meeting Scheduler these will of course also be fully compatible with Meeting Monitor for Google Apps.
