Desk Booking using Meeting Monitor™ Interactive Floor Plan
Screens
The latest version of Meeting Monitor for Exchange now has the
ability to track and control not only Meeting Rooms but also Hot-Desks using Interactive Floor Plan type
Touch Screens

For those organisations implementing flexible working practices,
tracking and controlling hot desks (or flexi-desks) is vital. It is also useful where companies have 'touch
down' or 'drop-in' zones for mobile or remote workers who do not have a permanent
desk.
Desks can be booked using the standard Microsoft Outlook client
in advance of a visit to the office and on arrival the Meeting Monitor screens clearly show both the
location and status for all flexi-desks. Using interactive touch screens users can confirm details of their
reservation by clicking on a desk icon, check-in to their desk and later on extend the booking if they need to.
When finished at the desk they can then use the 'Check-Out' button to free up the resource for others to
use.
Instant bookings can of course also be made via the same Touch
Screen for either now or later in the day using the new 'SmartBook' feature. This provides a choice of
pre-set instant booking durations plus a More option to choose later start and end
times.
Multiple floors or buildings are easily catered for with screen
navigators and in addition the screens can show standard Meeting Room status icons for a complete picture of
bookable resources within the organisation.
Another idea for utilising this capability within Meeting Monitor
would be to track and control car park reservations for visitors and employees using a floor plan for the car
park.
